The Employability Fund course is a 12-week course starting on Monday 29 March 2021 with 5 places available for those aged 16-24

The course will provide participants with an underpinning knowledge of the expectations and responsibilities within the workplace.

The course covers:

• Practical Training: Manual Handling; Toolbox Training; Safe use of equipment

• Introduction into Traditional Skills/Employer Placement/Site Visit

• Employability SQA Units:  Responsibilities of Employment; Dealing with Work Situations; Building Own Employability Skills all at SCQF Level 4

• Opportunity to start the CSCS Green Card process, through undertaken the SQA Unit in Health and Safety in Construction Environment

The course also includes a work placement either with us or an external company to provide an opportunity to gain hands on experience and insight into their vocational option.
