Training Course/ Placement Attended

Step to Change

Why did you decide to get involved with Stirling Community Enterprise?

I was referred through ASC Counselling as I was out of work and having issues. And I felt I needed routine in my life.

Can you describe your Stirling Community Enterprise Experience?

It was a fantastic experience. They helped with my self-esteem and confidence. I was also able to find employment through the Community Enterprise which helped me prove that I could do it again. They also gave me support I needed and it helped me get back on my feet. Alistair (ASC) and Tracy and Emma (RURC) have been a great support and I am grateful for their help.

What were the highlights of your experience?

Gaining employment and proving to myself I could do it again. Also making new friends and seeing what support was there.

Were there any surprises?

The whole experience and how I reacted to it and all the support they had available.

What did you gain from your Training/ Placement?

Employment but most of all the confidence and self-belief again, and to start living again.

Has your Training/ Placement influenced any future career plans?

Yes it has left me focused and motivated and they are helping me currently to find work (last employment was a short contract).

What advice would you give students considering becoming involved with Stirling Community Enterprise?

100% DO IT!!!!
They do great work that can really help you.
