Why did you decide to get involved with Stirling Community Enterprise?

The Community Enterprise approached FES as they were looking to expand their network of local employers and raise awareness of the services that they offer to local people in Stirling. At the time we had a vacancy for a Technical Author and this created an opportunity to engage with the Community Enterprise.
The Community Enterprise were able to identify a suitable candidate from their client database, provide a reference and recommendation in advance of bringing the candidate in for an interview.

Can you describe your experience of being an employer partner of Stirling Community Enterprise?

The process of engagement was professional and seamless and the facilitation afforded by the Community Enterprise representative made the whole process so easy. They listened to our needs, presented the options of available candidates and then took the necessary steps to prepare and present the candidate for interview. After the candidate had been chosen and thereafter started with us, the Community Enterprise provided a very good follow up service at strategic intervals.

What were the highlights of your experience?

The three main elements were all handled to a very high standard.

  1. Candidate identification
  2. Assistance with interviews and appointments.
  3. Follow-up after the candidate had started employment with us.

Were there any surprises?

No negative surprises at all. All positive

What have you gained as an organisation from becoming an Employer Partner?

We now have a new route for employee engagement to consider that provides a first class service, the right candidate selection and a company whose only agenda is to find the right candidate, from the local community and assist us in the selection process.

What advice would you give to those considering becoming an Employer Partner?

The advice would be to try the process. The initial enquiry costs nothing but a little bit of time. The people are helpful, friendly, and professional and the process is very sympathetic to the needs of the client business.
