    Course Description:

    ALBA Customer Service will provide valuable skills, accreditation and work experience to learners who are looking for employment within the retail, hospitality and any other customer service industries.

    Workshops will include Workplace Health and Safety, Responsibilities of Employment, Dealing with Work Place Situations.

    Learners will have the opportunity to undertake a work experience placement to develop their skills with one of our local Partner Employers.

    Employability support including identifying your skills and qualities, updating your CV and applying for college or jobs is available to all learners.

    Course Description:

    This is a practical course introducing learners to the construction industry and giving them entry level skills needed within the industry.

    Training includes workshops such as an introduction to health, safety and welfare at work, manual handling and abrasive wheels training.

    SQA accredited units in 'Responsibilities of Employment' and 'Dealing with Workplace Situations' will be delivered to prepare learners for work experience within the construction and civil engineering industries.

    Course Description:

    This partnership programme is being delivered alongside Forth Valley Social Enterprise.

    Learners will have the opportunity to develop skills within the events management sector including preparing and delivering an event along with essential skills in customer service.

    This short course is designed to support people to access volunteering opportunities at the Sruighlea Festival (formerly known as the Stirling Highland Games) on Saturday 18th August along with on going support to progress into employment or further education.

    Course Description:

    This programme runs one day per week on an on going basis.

    Trainees will be trained in safe use of ground care equipment such as rotary mowers, brush cutters, and hedge cutters and will also learn to lay different types of modular surfaces including mono-blocks and slabs.

    This course teaches learners about health and safety requirements like risk assessing and using hazardous substances in line with COSHH regulations.

    Workshops will help learners to identify their skills and strengths enabling them to update their C.V and prepare for interviews.

    Access to confidential support with areas preventing learners from moving forward including housing, benefits and criminal convictions is available too.

    Course Description:

    Funded by Scottish Government, the Stirling Community Justice Partnership is a committed team of staff from Stirling Community Enterprise, NHS Forth Valley, Addictions Support & Counselling Forth Valley and Forth Valley College.

    We provide confidential 1-2-1 employability support along with easy access to health and addiction support where needed.  Our team of staff are dedicated to helping people overcome challenges they face seeking work when they have a conviction.

    Knowledgeable staff will help you understand what you do and don't need to say to a prospective employer when disclosing your offence and can help with C.Vs, application forms, disclosure letters in addition to issues with accommodation and benefits.

    Trainees will be trained in safe use of ground care equipment such as rotary mowers, brush cutters and hedge cutters and will also learn to lay different types of modular surfaces including mono-blocks and slabs.

    This course teaches learners about health and safety requirements like risk assessing and using hazardous substances in line with COSHH regulations.

    Employability support will be offered to help learners move into employment, college or further training.

    Learners will be linked with local employers through Meet the Employer sessions or site visits.

    Trainees will be encouraged to apply for an individual training account which can be used to fund their CSCS training, test, transport and re-sit if needed.

    Internal certification will be issued on successful completion of each module.

    Course Description:

    This drop in opportunity allows participants to develop confidence, social and practical skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.

    You will be involved in the planning, designing and production of outside garden furniture using pallets. It is an excellent first step towards a more structured programme within the centre.

    Tea, coffee and lunch (soup and sandwiches) are provided at no cost.

    This group is a rolling programme taking place every Friday.
