    6-week pilot programme running one day per week

    Trainees will be trained in safe use of ground care equipment such as rotary mowers, brush cutters, and hedge cutters and will also learn to lay different types of modular surfaces including mono-blocks and slabs.

    This course teaches learners about health and safety requirements like risk assessing and using hazardous substances in line with COSHH regulations.

    Course Description:

    Funded by Scottish Government, the Stirling Community Justice Partnership is a committed team of staff from Stirling Community Enterprise, NHS Forth Valley, Addictions Support & Counselling Forth Valley and Forth Valley College.

    We provide confidential 1-2-1 employability support along with easy access to health and addiction support where needed.  Our team of staff are dedicated to helping people overcome challenges they face seeking work when they have a conviction.

    Knowledgeable staff will help you understand what you do and don't need to say to a prospective employer when disclosing your offence and can help with C.Vs, application forms, disclosure letters in addition to issues with accommodation and benefits.

    Course Description:

    ALBA Landscaping is an introduction level course that will cover both hard and soft landscaping.

    Trainees will be trained in safe use of ground care equipment such as rotary mowers, brush cutters and hedge cutters and will also learn to lay different types of modular surfaces including mono-blocks and slabs.

    This course teaches learners about health and safety requirements like risk assessing and using hazardous substances in line with COSHH regulations.

    Employability support will be offered to help learners move into employment, college or further training.

    Learners will be linked with local employers through Meet the Employer sessions or site visits.

    Trainees will be encouraged to apply for an individual training account which can be used to fund their CSCS training, test, transport and re-sit if needed.

    Internal certification will be issued on successful completion of each module.

  • Pallet Furniture Workshops - Stage 1 equivalent

    Course Description:

    This drop in opportunity allows participants to develop confidence, social and practical skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.

    You will be involved in the planning, designing and production of outside garden furniture using pallets. It is an excellent first step towards a more structured programme within the centre.

    Tea, coffee and lunch (soup and sandwiches) are provided at no cost.

    This group is a rolling programme taking place every Friday.

    Course Description:

    WorkAble Scotland is a new programme of support to help unemployed people with health conditions access the right help to get into work.

    It is a voluntary service that we provide in the Stirling area for anyone who is over 18, not in employment, claiming ESA or Universal Credit for health reasons and want to work, we can help.

    We will work with you one to one to give you the support you need to get back into work by finding the right route for you.

  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) - Stage 4 equivalent

    Course Description:

    The training for the CSCS Labourer Card is completed over 3 days.

    Day 1: SQA Health and Safety in the Construction Environment training and completion of an online assessment

    Day 2: CSCS training delivered and practice for the CITB test

    Day 3: CSCS test
