The Award in Volunteering Skills is a great way to recognise the development and experiences that volunteers gain whilst undertaking activities with Volunteer Involving Organisations (VIO). This nationally recognised qualification is a great addition to a volunteer’s CV, supporting future steps towards further training and employment opportunities.
- The award content includes 3 SQA accredited units at SCQF level 4
- Unit 1 – Prepare to Volunteer
- Unit 2 – Volunteer Experience
- Unit 3 – Volunteering: Investigative Project
Delivery can be within a group setting and or 1-1 sessions within the VIO and/or SCE.
This course is suitable for both existing volunteers and those considering volunteering for the first time who meet the following criteria:
•Aged 16 or over
•Not in education or involved in any other SDS funded programme
•Unemployed and looking to get back into work
•Employed, earning less than £22,000 per year and looking to progress in or change your job
•Resident in Stirling Council Area
